Registering for an account with divineright.org requires that you submit your real name and street address. This information will be stored in as secure a manner as possible. Your information will be released if a valid subpoena requesting it is recieved. Your information will also be released if there is sufficient proof that you are engaged in illegal activities and divineright.org wishes to file a law suit against you. These are the ONLY times at which your information will be used.
I will not ask for a character on your MUD. I will not bother you with solicitations or snoop through your files without having some solid suspicion that you're doing something illegal and/or harmful, or if I am required to do so in order to maintain the server. I don't care if you are actually running an operational MUD or not. As long as you are using your account for legal activities that do not impact anyone else's ability to use the available resources, your privacy will be respected.
Nobody from divineright.org will ever ask you for your password. Do not ever give it to anyone. I do not need your password to access your account. Anybody who asks you for your password is doing so for evil purposes.
As a free service, divineright.org takes no legal responsibility for the security of your personal information or the information you choose to store in your accounts. We will strive to keep our servers and your data secure, but make absolutely no claims as to our ability to do so. We strongly recommend that you keep backup copies of any data you store on our servers. In the event of a hardware failure, data may be permanently lost.
